This two-day course includes the ASAM 4th Edition Criteria Foundations Course and the ASAM 4th Edition Criteria Skill-Building Course at a discounted rate. Each course provides the tools to understand and utilize the principles of the 4th Edition of the ASAM Criteria with the utmost care and evidence-based practice. 

What's Included

Day 1: ASAM 4th Edition Criteria Foundations Course
This 6-hour, live-virtual course is the recommended first step to understanding the ASAM Criteria 4th Edition and covers developing patient-centered service plans as well as making objective decisions about patient admission, continuing care, and transfer/discharge for individuals with addictive, substance-related, and co-occurring conditions. 

Day 2: ASAM 4th Edition Criteria Skill-Building Course
This 6-hour course expands on the content discussed within The ASAM Criteria 4th Edition Foundations course. This interactive course will follow multiple case scenarios along the patient’s journey through the continuum of care. It will provide an in-depth understanding of providing level of care recommendations, developing individualized treatment plans, and conducting reassessments for continued service or transition of care for patients with addiction and co-occurring conditions. Additionally, participants will examine implementation challenges and develop strategies to provide appropriate treatment for persons with substance use disorders (SUDs). It is recommended that attendees successfully complete the Foundations course before beginning this course.
